Hello!

I am Sakshi Majmudar, a passionate educator, certified phonics trainer, and storyteller. I have helped numerous children develop their English skills - Reading, Speaking, Writing and Listening. I have been taking classes for kids aged 4 to 7 since May 2020. In addition, I conduct Deep Reading sessions at Indus International School, Hyderabad, and Sancta Maria International School. I am also a Computer Science Engineer and have Co-founded a Venture Capitalist funded education-based tech startup that we ran from 2013 to 2015.

My Story

"The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss.

As a family, we would spend hours every other weekend in a book store, and I would keep my little one busy at the store by reading books to her. I never realized how swiftly that time would go by. It became a ritual for us to explore book stores or visit libraries of the city and read books to my child at the store.

Our family and friends started complimenting us with the tremendous growth in our kid's vocabulary, knowledge, and critical thinking. Undoubtedly, we attributed it to the books that we read to her.

In Jan 2020, parents were invited to read a book for school children. I took no time to respond to that invitation and participated in the reading program. That was the moment of my realization; it gives me immense joy in being surrounded by kids, telling them stories, and hearing out their curious minds.

I found my calling and started taking online storytelling sessions. Interacting with the kids online has kept me sane during the unprecedented times of our lives (2020).

While I took story sessions, I observed a couple of 6-7 years old children who struggled to read simple sentences. The concerned parents approached me if I could help them. Hence, I started taking personalized sessions, and within a month, the parents could see a huge difference between their reading abilities. It gave me the gratification that I had never felt before.
